Janet Harvie of Maggie Melinda Custom Miniatures creates "Any and All

Things Fabric" - furniture, drapery, bedding and tablecloths.

"I have been building and creating miniatures for 25 years. It all began when my daughter was eight years old. I purchased a dollhouse kit, and built ‘The Hampton House’ for Susan for Christmas. I was so hooked! I bought another kit for myself and built ‘The Bentley Hotel’. "I graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, Fashion Design and Merchandising, with emphasis on textiles, colour theory and tailoring. During many career changes, I maintained my love of fabric and its’ infinite possibilities .

When I retired in 2009 I decided to make miniatures my full time career. I named my company Maggie Melinda Custom Miniatures in honour of my paternal Grandmother who was an extremely talented needle woman."
